Obama DOJ in $2.5 Million Sandy Hook Payout 36

As the nation’s attention turned to potential US military aggression in the Middle East, the Obama administration has made an unusual $2.5 million payout to Connecticut law enforcement and emergency response agencies for their participation in the December 14, 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre event.

Under the plan administered by Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice, the Connecticut State Police are slated to collect $663,444, the Town of Newtown will take in $602,293, the Town of Monroe will receive $602,293 and more than two dozen other agencies from the surrounding area will get $296,836. The funds originate from the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program.

Aside from bureaucratic boilerplate there is no immediate explanation as to why the federal government would make such a substantial disbursement to agencies partaking in the incident. “Providing support to the law enforcement agencies that responded to the horrific scene that awaited them at Sandy Hook Elementary School is one small action we can take to bring healing to a community that’s been devastated,” Attorney General Holder remarked in a press release. “Just over eight months after this senseless tragedy, those who lost their lives, and those who continue to grieve, remain in our thoughts and prayers.”[1]

On November 27, less than three weeks before the Sandy Hook massacre, Attorney General Holder appeared at a news conference in New Haven, Connecticut alongside Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy to announce Project Longevity, a joint venture by the Justice Department and State of Connecticut. The endeavor was described by one law enforcement officials as “a statewide approach that targets repeat criminals, creates alternatives for potential gang members and rallies neighborhoods against violence.”[2]

On December 20 Holder made an unannounced visit to Newtown to meet with state and local law enforcement and emergency responders shortly after a meeting in Washington with Vice President Joe Biden, presumably to discuss forthcoming attempts at gun control legislation.[3]

Because there are so many inconsistencies and missing information in the case where the findings have not been made public, the large payout appears especially suspect. In August the Hartford Courant conducted an investigation of overtime pay being generated by Connecticut State police assigned to the Sandy Hook tragedy. Eight State Police detectives received $139,000 in overtime pay for work on the investigation since January 1, 2013.  Almost half has gone to two investigators claim to have put in over 500 hours of work beyond their scheduled duties.[4]

Such extensive federal funding will likely draw out the investigation for many more months— perhaps years—while keeping relevant law enforcement officials very pleased in the interim.

  6. I wondered if readers here had caught this article. There is a lot of info here….

    http://www.insanemedia.net/follow-the-money-sandy-hook-charitable-funds-awash-in-donations/2541

    And this article….

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/newtown-families-281k-7-7-million-donations-article-1.1397274

In regards to this huge well of money and my growing suspicion that it is more than it seems I began to look over my own library and suddenly it seemed like particular writers were leaving a ‘trail of bread crumbs.’

In 2000 the book ‘A Future Perfect: The Challenge And Hidden Promise of Globalization’ the authors (J. Micklethwait & A. Wooldridge) in Chapter 5 concerning problems and solutions in colonizing sex, death and education (referred to as industries) had a sub-title in this chapter called, ‘Globalizing Compassion.’ It was not the information dropped here that mattered; it was the words ‘globalizing compassion’ which caught my attention.

In 2006 the book ‘Revolutionary Wealth’ the authors (Alvin & Heidi Toffler) educated readers on how we were making a transition to Third Wave wealth systems and their creation would be based on serving, thinking, knowing and ‘experiencing.’ (my emphasis) This book was a good education on the creation of new wealth systems in a knowledge based society with knowledge as its chief raw material.

In 2009, the book ‘The Empathic Civilization: The Race to Global Consciousness In A World In Crisis’-( author J. Rifkin) hyper-trumps up the importance of empathy to our future survival.

Below is a link to a negative critique of this 2009 book which highlights a healthy criticism of various scenarios of how pushing empathy seems to have become a national/global/political/media pastime.

My spidey sense keeps prodding me as to is this a new wealth creation system where the normal human nature to be empathic and compassionate is intentionally, skillfully and deceitfully being abused?

  8. Not only are our tax payer dollars being miss used to support their suppression of truth, the DOJ is involved in many ridiculous lawsuits. This one in LA, if the judge agrees, will actually have a negative impact on the minority students there. 9. Prof. Tracy,
This is great stuff…I know you always source your material which is what makes your blog so compelling. No one is talking about this thoughtfully online anymore. I don’t expect many of the alternative media to pick up this story despite its outrageous inconsistencies and the rather obvious political chicanery. FOIA requests need to be filed with regards to the Justice Department and “Project Longevity”, “Sandy Hook”, “Connecticut State Police”, “Newtown, Connecticut”, as well as the FBI the CIA.

It’s also interesting that Monroe got the Lions share of the payout when that is where the “New” Sandy Hook Elementary 2.0 was allegedly moved within weeks of the shooting. Hmmmm…

  10. I’m curious to know if Mr Bittman’s “Sandy Hook Promise” was in any way involved that big ol bag o money that Holder trotted up there with…$2.5 million to be exact. Btw-nothing Bittman stated would be admissible as evidence in court,as it is all “hearsay”.Further, There WAS an interview in the “Bee” with the Principle concerning the installation of the brand new security system and law enforcement has mentioned it in regards to it’s refusal to release the footage. Bittman is just another shill.

    • Great link, Shelly… Thank You!
Bittman is slick, but obviously spinning and unconvincing due to his refusal of logic… ‘Anderson Cooper-like’ skills at spinning away from reasonable questions, drawing on emotionalism and never giving a direct answer to direct questions.
THANK YOU, DR TRACY!!… for staying on this hugely important HOAX story!! Indeed, we are in a crucial time of our country’s history. And any support we can give to real investigative journalism is so very important…

    • By the way, forgot to mention, that sham gun control agenda ‘fund’ you mention is in Bittman’s article (end of second paragraph)…

    • Thanks for the link. Although, I became so frustrated at Bittman I wrote a hopefully compelling and conversely scathing post to support the effort to expose the full story on SH.

Here’s where I conclude by shifting to the Sandy Hook event…

“What took place at Sandy Hook, as has been described by authoritative bodies is a secret. That, I think is the primary issue. The empirical details they have revealed fall just shy of being evidence of a conspiracy, and go just far enough to be plausible. All that lies in-between remains under a cloak of secrecy that authority allows them.

If this were a different time where law enforcement and government agents didn’t number in the tens of millions, and where there hadn’t been a prolonged diminution of the family and the solidarity of the neighborhood, the full details would have been known long ago. That whole scene would have been tore up by the concerned citizenry, and the details of the crime made available to all who sought to view it.

So, I hope the blog-owner doesn’t conclude that all of us who remain unconvinced blame the purported victim’s parents or other residents. It’s my view that the agents of government, from the President to the Fire Chief are to blame for this master/servant relationship. Some of them know things are very wrong, but were swept up in the criminal bureaucracy. It would be my pleasure if they were to hear our clarion call, reject authority and gracefully rejoin their neighbors.

Sadly, I’ve seen enough to be highly suspicious of the entire event, including some of the purported parents. But, to those who are hesitant to express their opinion fearing they will be judged as thoughtless or insensitive, I ask you to consider all the potential victims. Even if all 20 children died and all of their loved ones endure true despair at their loss, the darkness, pain and unease of this unresolved blight that will ripple outward and touch literally millions is a far greater concern.”

    • Bittmans wife worked on the sandy hook school newsletter “footprints”. He also initiated what became an ethics investigation of Mary Ann Jacobs, librarian and witness at sandy hook and newtown finance board chairwoman. This ethics investigation occurred about 2 months before Debbie Aurelia’s own ethics investigation which she survived by a hair. These both occurred in 2010, a key year in this saga, and both were attended and overseen by sedensky.

  11. It is ironic that those assigned to “investigating” have made so much extra money (for what?) while those who have REALLY investigated (see YouTube and the blogs!) have put out sweat, guts, brainwork and plenty of their own money … for findings that do actually hold up under scrutiny. What a joke of a system!
