Ferguson MO: Another Manufactured Media Crisis? 102

MunozBy Patrick Murphy

(Editor’s Note: This was initially submitted as a comment at MHB on August 19. Indeed, various reportage and analysis from independent media outlets [see, for example, here, here, and here] suggest that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Homeland Security are actively involved in manipulating and aggravating the regrettable events in Ferguson, Missouri.

With this in mind, it should also be noted that a 2013 report from Judicial Watch revealed how the Department of Justice’s “Community Relations Service, was deployed to Sanford, FL, following the Trayvon Martin shooting to help organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman.” -JFT)

GaskinBy Prof. Jason Kissner

What follows either signifies next to nothing or something rather unsettling. On June 3, 2014 someone writing by the name of “Duke Reichert” contributed an article to the MemoryHole blog entitled “Gut Feeling: Something is Wrong with Newtown.”

CT State Emergency System Hijacked on Dec. 14, 2012 141

By Dennis Cimino with Jim Fetzer

The following is an excerpt from an important article* originally appearing at Veterans Today on January 30, 2013.-JFT

Boston’s Custom Designed Terror: Operation Urban Shield 28

The following draws on artifacts from the forthcoming Boston Marathon Bombing Timeline.

On  June 6, 2013 “Operation Urban Shield Boston” published videos via its YouTube Channel highlighting the so-named 2011 and 2012 law enforcement and emergency response drills that bore a remarkable resemblance to the April 15, 2013 Boston Marathon bombing allegedly carried out by Tamarlan and Dzokhar Tsarnaev.

Two days after the videos were distributed the Boston Globe reported that the entire April 15 Boston Marathon bombing and its aftermath indeed played out almost in identical fashion to the Department of Homeland Security-sponsored terrorist drill scheduled for June of 2013.

Mass Traumatization and the Body Politic 26

A long-held desire of the technocratic worldview involves manipulation and control of a national and even international body politic. “This planetary consciousness,” Zbigniew Brzezinski observes, brings into closer view a single indivisible humanity united by the soft tyranny of depersonalized and omnipresent coercion. “The sense of proximity, the immediacy of suffering,” he wrote at the height of the Cold War, “the globally destructive character of modern weapons all help to stimulate an outlook that views mankind as a community.”[1] In the perceived absence of such a powerful monolithic threat, mass-mediated tragedy and terror increasingly fulfill a similarly unifying purpose and means to conjure and augment broader political projects.
